G4 Canada’s Call for Help tackles the great outdoors

Airing Friday July 21 at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT, hosts Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur get back to the basics but with a modern twist as they explore how to enhance your outdoor experience with the latest technology.

On this special episode of Call for Help, Amber and Leo surf the net to find the best online camping tips for newcomers to die-hard outdoors fanatics alike. Guest technology expert Steve Vu shows what the future holds for the Segway® Human Transporter, the first of its kind self-balancing personal transportation designed to go anywhere you go in the great outdoors. Amber takes a ride herself, learning about the technology behind dynamic stabilization.

Viewers will also get the scoop on essential equipment and cool camping gadgets with David Johnston from Mountain Equipment Co-op. From wrist-top computers with built in GPS to miniature espresso makers, Leo discovers how stay comfortable and connected for his next camping adventure. Leo will also take callers through the latest in equalization programs compatible with iTunes, allowing anyone to disc jockey their music library.

G4’s Call for Help is a daily one-hour show designed to help viewers of all knowledge levels from tech savvy to novice get the most out of their technology and keep them up-to-date on all the latest technology news and products.
