Having trouble keeping the touch screen on your iPhone, iPad or any touch screen device clean and free from smudges and fingerprints? If you do, wouldn't it be nice if someone, perhaps a friend, could keep them clean for you? Well a smudge free screen is possible, with a new little creation, the Screenster by Toddy Gear.

It's a cute little plush 100% microfiber scratch-free cushion complete with its own persona. It looks quite like a little stuffy toy that your dog would just love to chew on. However, it's really designed for anyone who uses any types of touch screens and needs to keep them clean.

The Screenster has two distinct sides. The back is nice and soft for cleaning your screen and ridding it of all the oils and smudges left by your fingers. The front has a smooth silky finish that can be used to polish up your touchscreen or any sensitive surface. You can even polish up that silver Apple logo on back of your iPad or its camera lens, if you so choose.

Toddy Gear ScreensterIt also has a convenient little loop on the top so you can attach it to your monitor or if you travel or take your devices on the road, you can just hang it on your backpack.  This way it can be handy when you really need it instead of forgetting to pack a cleaning cloth, which I often do.

Darlene Hammond from Phoenix Arizona thinks it looks like a Christmas ornament.

"I want one for my Xmas tree," Hammond comments, on my Facebook page.

One item of note is that it is designed to be used dry; it's not recommend that you use it with any chemical or liquid.  For basic cleanup, it certainly does the trick. I’m not sure how it would perform its cleaning duties if you dripped your gooey grilled cheese onto the surface of your iPhone. Regardless as to how you decide to use it, it has an Anti-microbial coating so it will stay bacteria free and it is machine washable.

The Toddy Gear Screensters are expected to be available within the next two weeks at They’ll retail for $9.95 and come in 10 different characters, which the company says are modeled after everyday people from the fashion forward “Stylista” to the gaming-enthusiast “Gameawn,” as you see above.
