Gaming NewsDisney Infinity expanding

The Disney Infinity brand and experience is growing.

Not only have Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia been added as characters but so too has Baloo from The Jungle Book but the new Marvel Play Set, Battlegrounds, is in development.

Battlegrounds will introduce four-player local co-op gameplay to Disney Infinity.

The characters will include Captain America, Hulkbuster Iron Man, Ultron, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Vision and Black Suit Spider-Man.

Gaming NewsGarden Warfare sprouting new DLC

The kookiness continues.

PopCap Vancouver has announced that a Garden Warfare 2: Graveyard Variety Pack will be released on March 8 for all players.

This free DLC update contains a new map, missions and gameplay features.

The Garden Centre map, first appearing in the original, has since been taken over by zombies and Dr. Zomboss has rebuilt it to become the Aqua Center.

Also included are new quests located throughout the Backyard Battleground and a nighttime version of The Great White North map.

Gaming NewsNew Iron Maiden game founder packs

Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden are about to rock in a new mobile game.

With 'Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast', a free-to-play mobile RPG set in Iron Maiden mythology launching on both iOS and Android platforms in June 2016, the developers are offering Founders Packs.

The packs will offer limited edition collectibles, exclusive insider access to game-design forums, rare in-game Eddies and boatloads of ‘Ferryman’s Gold’ (in-game currency) to commemorate the launch of the game.

Anyone who orders a pack will get to participate in online discussions with the development team, be granted access to exclusive community forum content and have the opportunity to vote on the direction of the game and proposed content.

Seven packs have been created, five of them themed to in-game iterations of the band’s iconic mascot, Eddie, in a variety of character classes.

Gaming NewsStreet Fighter V tournament coming to Canada

Get ready to rummmmble!

Registration is now open for the Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian Tournament Presented by PlayStation’ featuring Street Fighter V.

Registration to play and compete in the tournament is free.

Online Qualifiers will be decided from March 21 – April 17, 2016, moving to Regional Finals in 24 Cineplex theatres across Canada on May 1, 2016.

The tournament will culminate with the Canadian Finals event on May 29, 2016 in Toronto.

The one-on-one tournament’s Online Qualifiers will be produced by WorldGaming and the Regional Finals and Canadian Final events will be hosted at Cineplex theatres across Canada.

The tournament has over $25,000 in total prizing available, the winner of the final tournament is going home with $10,000 cash and $4,000 and $2,000 will be awarded to the second and third place winners respectively. Gamers can register at WorldGaming.com.

Gaming NewsSuper Mario Maker gets free update

Super Mario Maker just got more super.

A new software update to the Super Mario Maker adds both the key and locked doors with keyholes, a new skewer obstacle and a new Super Expert difficulty to the 100-Mario Challenge.

The new Super Expert difficulty pulls random courses that have been categorized as being Super Expert after the courses are created. By completing 100-Mario Challenge on this difficulty, five new Mystery Mushroom costumes can be won.
